Björn Axén

In Sweden, Björn Axén stands for outstanding hair care and hair styling products. The label was founded in Stockholm in 1963 by the young Björn Axén, who had just completed his training with Monsieur Alexandre in Paris. Björn not only brought with him the latest trends from France, but also a fresh approach and view of hair and its care. Add to this a good dash of glamour, which he transported to Sweden, and soon his salon was the talk of the town. After 16 years, he moved and doubled the number of chairs in his salon. Even Queen Silvia of Sweden was one of his enthusiastic customers. In 1984, Björn Axén launched his first hair care and hair styling products, which he labelled with his logo, a butterfly.

Home hairdresser and innovator

When Björn Axén died unexpectedly in 1993, his long-time employees Peter Hägelstam and Johan Hellström took over the salons and the name. They not only dedicated themselves to styling on site, but also to the development of hair styling and hair care products such as brushes, shampoos, conditioners, dry shampoo, salt water spray, wax, mousse and much more. This results in care lines for all hair types, ranging from heat protection and repair to volume and lines for sports styles. And typical of the visionary Björn Axén, there is also hair care from the organic sector. In keeping with this, the brushes and accessories are simply part of a comprehensive hairstyling regime. Of course, the label's products are not only aimed at women, but also at men who value a well-groomed head of hair.
