Tips for using the Black Aoud scented candles from Montale:
After lighting for the first time, the wax should melt completely to the edge of the container before you extinguish the candle. You can prevent the candle from burning too quickly by regularly shortening the wick. For safety reasons, also ensure that the scented candles never burn unattended. Scented candles are very easy to use, but a few factors greatly improve the burning behaviour and safety. Always place the scented candle on an even surface in a windless place and away from flammable materials. Before lighting, you should also shorten the wick to around 5 mm. To avoid tunnelling, leave the scented candle burning for at least as long as it takes for the top layer of wax to melt completely. This can take around two hours. However, you should not exceed a burning time of four hours at a time. For optimum burning quality, you should always extinguish the candle with a candle snuffer.
