It was the grandson Michele Boellis who honoured his grandfather with the name Panama in 1924. He liked to wear a classic Panama hat during his lifetime. Antonio Boellis started the family business with a barbershop. This was where the gentlemen of society met to enjoy beard care and haircuts. And because everyone met here, the first fragrances, aftershaves and other care products for men were soon created.
