How to use this scented candle correctly: Leave the candle to burn until the top layer of wax has melted. You should then make sure that the liquid wax layer is never thicker than 1 cm. At this point, extinguish the candle so that the wax can cool down. Also, for safety reasons, leave the last centimetre of wax unused.

Scented candles are very easy to use, but a few factors greatly improve the burning behaviour and safety. Always place the scented candle on an even surface in a windless place and away from flammable materials. Before lighting, you should also shorten the wick to around 5 mm. To avoid tunnelling, leave the scented candle burning for at least as long as it takes for the top layer of wax to melt completely. This can take around two hours. However, you should not exceed a burning time of four hours at a time. For optimum burning quality, you should always extinguish the candle with a candle snuffer.
